Project Clifford
Dear Families,
During our upcoming Spring Break – and with a little help from our favorite big red dog, Clifford – your child will have the opportunity to participate in a fun challenge that celebrates reading. Wait! There is more:

Details
On March 17th, the school will be showing the recent Clifford the Big Red Dog movie. After the movie, every Kindergarten – 2nd grade student will receive a free Clifford book to take home with them. Along with the book, each student will receive a ‘points card’ to keep track of their progress of completing four (4) challenges over the course of Spring Break (March 21 – March 25). For each challenge completed your child will receive a point that will be marked on the points card. Once your child returns from Spring Break, they will turn in their points card to their teacher. If your school achieves 60% participation CLIFFORD WILL COME TO YOUR SCHOOL in late April or May!
To help you prepare with your child, here are the challenges:
CHALLENGE 1 – Your child reads the Clifford book (or visit every page of the book).
CHALLENGE 2 – Your child reads the Clifford book with you.
CHALLENGE 3* – Your child visits the Maywood, Melrose Park, or Broadview Library
CHALLENGE 4* – You or your child checks out a book -OR- reads another book @ the library.
